Phase I (2019)
Camp Mapping – with youth to document major infrastructure and block structure in the camp
Focus group discussions – conducted with youth, leaders, women, to assess awareness and gather initial ideas for rehabilitation.
Phase II (2020)
- Identified community leaders & technical advisors – including pro bono lawyers to review legal documents and block leaders to supervise surveys.
Household survey – trained youth to conduct household surveys assessing housing conditions.


Phase III (2022)
- Evaluated household survey and share findings – with camp leaders and community people.
- Built Community Land Trust (CLT) membership – with those who remain interested in the project from the meetings and/or survey work.
- Peer exchange – facilitated discussions with project members and other NGOs.
Draft design reviews and charrettes – with residents and gathered their feedback.
Phase IV (2023-2024)
- Piloted small-scale projects – CLT-led projects to build trust and confidence.
- Household survey at Bogura
- Acquired land documents and held camp-wide advocacy meetings- to discuss rehabilitation options.
Round-table discussion with civil society actors to form a support network.


Phase V (2025)
- Continued community grassroots advocacy – on land acquisition and ownership.
- Constructed a multi-purpose room- as an extension of the community clinic to support dispute mediation, a small library, women’s sewing training, and preschool activities.
- Hosted National Seminar- with community leaders, NGO representatives, and distinguished guests.
External consultation- to strengthen its advocacy, capacity-building and fund-raising initiatives.
